Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") before using Attic.

By using Attic, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who We Are

Attic is owned and operated by adboio, LLC ("we", "us", "our").

2. What Attic Is

Attic is a personal memory app that runs entirely on your device. It helps you capture thoughts and recall them later using on-device AI.

Key characteristics:

  • Local-only - All data is stored on your device
  • No accounts - No sign-up or login required
  • On-device AI - All processing happens on your iPhone
  • Private by design - We cannot access your content

3. Using Attic

You may use Attic only in compliance with:

  • these Terms
  • applicable laws

You agree not to:

  • attempt to reverse engineer or hack the app
  • use the app for illegal purposes
  • circumvent subscription or payment systems

We may revoke access to the app for misuse.

4. Your Content

You own your content. Since all data is stored locally on your device:

  • We do not have access to your content
  • We cannot recover deleted content
  • You are responsible for backing up your data

You can export your data anytime using the in-app export feature.

5. On-Device AI Disclaimer

Attic uses on-device AI to assist with transcription, search, and recall.

AI may occasionally:

  • Return incorrect or incomplete information
  • Misunderstand your content
  • Produce unexpected responses

Attic is provided "as is" with no guarantee of accuracy.

Do not rely on Attic for:

  • Medical advice
  • Legal advice
  • Financial decisions
  • Safety-critical purposes

You use AI features at your own risk.

6. Data Responsibility

Since your data is stored only on your device:

  • You are responsible for backups - Use the export feature or iCloud device backups
  • Uninstalling deletes data - Removing the app permanently deletes all content
  • Device loss means data loss - If you lose your device without a backup, your data is gone
  • We cannot recover data - We have no access to your content and cannot help recover it

We strongly recommend regularly exporting your data.

7. Subscriptions & Billing

Attic may offer premium features via subscription.

  • All payments are handled by Apple In-App Purchase
  • We do not receive your payment details
  • Refunds follow Apple's refund policies
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • Manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for data loss (since data is stored only on your device)
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • We are not liable for reliance on AI outputs
  • We are not liable for device loss, theft, or damage

Your sole remedy is to stop using Attic.

9. No Warranty

Attic is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Changes to Service

We may modify or discontinue features at any time.

We may update these Terms. Continued use means acceptance of updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Washington State, USA.
